State Triples semi-finals 2004/5

The Victoria Park Team of left/right: Maurice Crameri, Colin Hayes and skipper Peter Harris are all smiles after a highly unlikely win against the Cockburn trio of Russell Hughes, Glen Vaughan and Mike Zusman.

P.S Thankyou fellas for the co-operation to take this pic.

Victoria Park, trailing 4/15 after 12 ends and going nowhere, having been completely outplayed when a sudden change came over the game, Russell Hughes was only one down, played into the head and went three down. From that point on the Vic park boys started to get the shots they were missing earlier, Cockburn didnt drop of their game, Vic Park simply lifted the skill level.
With one end to go VP were 12/16 and got four to tie the game and on the extra end, Maurice Crameri with a brilliant running shot, put the jack into the well, sitting right on top of it. End of game, winning 17 / 16.
A special mention of the Cockburn middleman, Glen Vaughan, he kept Cockburn in the game and I thought he was the best player out of the six. Peter Harris kept cool and played a vital role in the win.

Other results
Marko Krajancic, George Elkins and Phil Simonetti {Yokine} beat J. Shepard, D. Edwards and D. Mason { Warwick} 22/8.
Marko still has what it takes with his shots into the head, The closer the opposition bowls to the Jack, the more likely a conversion to Marko.

Trystan Smallacombe {skip}, Steve Withers and Chris Lander{Cambridge} beat the Cunderdin team of Silky Wilkins {skip}, Brian Calthorpe, Rod Quinn 27 / 9.
The Cambridge Combo smothered the jack and were too good on the day and will be hard to beat on that performance. The Cunderdin boys have had a great week and one they wont forget for a long time.

The result of the other game at Carlisle.
Robbie Ball {Doubleview} defeated Scott Edmonds {Comp} 13/11
