Preview One Blue South Round 10

Mosman Park v Midland
Morrison Midland Morrison travel to Mosman Park, for perhaps their first time, they will enjoy the view but not much else!
Mossies are travelling very well at this stage of the season however it was unusual for John Rainoldi and his rink to go down last week by so much, look for a significant change in their fortunes this week.
Mosman Park will look to consolidate their lead (5) to the second placed Spearwood.
Midland will have to play their best to overcome a confident Mosman Park the result should be Mossies 7 to Midland 1.

East Fremantle v Victoria Park
East Fremantle at home for the second week must start to rescue their season; they are in real danger of relegation in their centenary year, Victoria Park have moved to fourth on the table on the back of five very good wins they are very stable and will be looking to continuing their good form.

Nev Young is playing very well for the Park while East Freo have made some changes with their skippers, Dave Cotton now playing third and Reg Bullen starting to exert some influence; the result will be close the blue and whites will be hoping for a strong sou wester to aid their cause however the Park will win the aggregate
the result should be Vic Park 6 to East Fremantle 2.

Hilton Park v Carlisle Lathlain

Hilton Park also at home for the second week against a reorganised Carlisle Lathlain, Hilton surprise losers to Mosman Park last round will be looking for a win against a battling Carlisle, who have sprung some team changes to improve their results. The changes worked when they travelled to Manning last week to win the closest game of the round.
Hilton Park were easily beaten by a strong Mosman Park side and the previous round a loss to Midland Morrison did their aspirations no good. Hilton will be looking to stop this slide and will come out firing
The result should be Hilton Park 7 to Carlisle Lathlain 1.

Manning v Rockingham

Manning’s surprise loss to Carlisle Lathlain last round at home will be a wake up call for them, Peter Bowden’s return to skipper’s duty hasn’t been the result that they would be looking for.
the narrow loss last week would be unsettling, however the form of Milan Jokic is the stabilising factor for this side.
Rockingham are positioned in the centre of the table, this is their second week in a row on grass (last week they travelled to Spearwood), two of their rinks performed well they will need the other two to contribute as well.
These two sides are separated by only 1 point it will be the closest game of the round
the result should be Manning 5 to Rockingham 3.

Spearwood v Melville

Spearwood at home take on a resurgent Melville (2 wins from their last 2 starts) will give the Magic some impetus, some of the Melville side will never have been to Spearwood (the eagerly awaited new arrivals for Melville and may be on show for this game) so it will be a learning curve if the sou wester is blowing.
The Spearwood greens have improved and will help Melville to get accustomed to the conditions (Melville actually donated the grass to Spearwood to set up their greens). Spearwood regain their full strength side four players were missing last week so the two sides will be evenly matched.

Boris Yakas is the form skipper for Spearwood his year has been outstanding, Tonko Fiamengo will welcome his regular side and should return to his wining form.

This game will take on a lot of importance for Spearwood, they trail Mosman Park by 5 and must stay in touch or else Mossies will canter away to a unassailable lead
The result should be close with Spearwood 6 to Melville 2.
