PREVIEW ONE BLUE SOUTH ROUND 11

Victoria Park v Spearwood

Spearwood travel to Victoria Park, the Park sit 4th on the table and would be looking to consolidate their position, they were promoted from second division last year and will be keen to ensure they remain in this division. Spearwood regained the top of the table on the back of a surprise Mosman Park loss and a good win against Melville.

Tonko Fiamengo Spearwood (pictured) great season playing as skipper

Spearwood will regain the services of one skipper who has been on leave and will be looking at arresting the losses in the Marin Sokol rink, changes may be looked at by the selectors to strengthen this problem rink.
A loss to Spearwood would give the edge back to Mosman Park the difference between the two sides is one point any slip up by either side will open the door to Hilton Park sitting 6 behind Mossies;

the result Spearwood 6 / 2.

Carlisle Lathlain v Mosman Park

Mosman Park travel to Carlisle Lathlain to take on a Carlisle side smarting from losing to Hilton by 2 shots, Carlisle sit at the bottom of the table and will be desperate to improve their position, the bottom 4 sides are separated by 3½ points, so a win against the strong Mossies will be uppermost in their minds;

Mossies will be jolted by their loss against Midland Morrison at home last Saturday, they will be looking to keep scoreboard pressure on Carlisle it wont be a walk in the park for Mossies but

the result will be Mosman Park 6 / 2.

Melville v Manning

Melville host Manning, the Magic are 4th from the bottom of the table and will not want to be in the relegation zone for much longer, the consequences are quite severe.
Their performance last week against Spearwood was not all bad. They have quality players and they need to stand up and deliver the goods, the Manning Eagles are currently 4th on the table Milan Jokic continues to be the mainstay for the Eagles,

Manning will be in the mix for the finals if they get some momentum this will be one of the closest games of the round the Eagles will soar with

the result going Manning’s way 5 / 3.

Rockingham v Hilton Park

Rockingham back at home after two weeks on the road, they will take on Hilton Park who are currently in third position on the table. Rockingham will enjoy their return to the carpets and will be very hard to beat, John Lethlean and his rink are playing strongly and the Rocky boys look to John to provide the foundation for their wins.
the other rinks need to participate as well. Hilton Park will have to work hard to overcome the home side, Travis Simpson and his rink are very consistent, Eddy Clarke always works hard but this will need a full team effort especially if the sou-wester is blowing.
Hilton Park won there last year so they know what is required but the home advantage will be too big; Rockingham will not be rolling out the red carpet for the Park

the result will be Rockingham 5 / 3.

Midland Morrison v East Fremantle

Midland Morrison return home after their stunning victory last week against the top side Mosman Park, the Midland boys will need to back up that victory and repeat it over the Blue and Whites, this game may decide the relegation battle for both these sides.
Midland promoted last year from second division will need to string together a number of wins to improve their chances of survival, the East Freo team would be on a high after beating Victoria Park comfortably at home last week, this may give them the impetus they need, the relegation zone is tight between 4 sides a win for the Blue and Whites will provide some much needed momentum.

the result will be East Fremantle 6 / 2.
