PREVIEW ONE BLUE SOUTH ROUND THIRTEEN
Victoria Park v Hilton Park
This game played on Sunday 4th February due to state commitments by David
Opie.
Hilton Park 101 (7) d Victoria Park 57 (1).
East Fremantle v Manning
East Fremantle host Manning, the Blue and Whites have some excellent greens
now courtesy of Jeff Hall and the home green advantage with a sou wester will
test the Eagles.
Manning have stalled in the last two games and will need to
stay focused, Milan Jokic and James Jaworski will need to apply the pressure
when both of these rinks fire it provides the base for the Eagles.
Greg Fairhead Manning (pictured) good player for the Eagles
Bruno Zarins
will need to carry on the good work from last week, Reg Bullen will need to
provide support, the Blue and Whites are still not doomed four sides are battling
out the relegation zone and a good home win would re-ignite East Freo.
Manning
Eagles are due for a win, across the board they have stronger combinations
the Eagles to swoop and return home with a 6 / 2 result.
Rockingham v Carlisle Lathlain
Rockingham will host Carlisle Lathlain; the Rocky boys were outgunned
by Mosman Park last week but two rinks showed grit in the face of the Mossie
attack, Rockingham sit mid table and must now make a move towards the top
if they want a piece of the finals action (albeit the finals are purely academic
curtesy of the north-south shemozzle).
Carlisle inflicted a heavy loss on
Midland last week and will be buoyed by that victory, after all that Carlisle
lie third bottom and must string some wins together to save themselves.
The
Rockingham carpet with a stiff sou-wester is a mountain to climb, the Rocky
boys lift at home and will win this encounter easily
Rockingham 7 / 1.
Spearwood v Midland Morrison
Midland Morrison travel to Spearwood for the first time, this will be their second
week on the road and the journey down south will not enjoyable, Midland are still
in the relegation zone however they are only half a point from getting into the
black.
Spearwood have slipped seven behind Mossies and can not let them get any further in front or the chase could be well and truly over if they score heavily at Melville.
The Spearwood selectors have swung some changes and will be looking for a home victory over the visitors, Midland will need to stay in touch early or suffer the consequences a home victory to
Spearwood 6 /2.
Melville v Mosman Park
Mosman Park visit Melville, the Magic struggled at Hilton last week but showed
they are not done yet with two rinks winning.
Mossies are on a roll they
have surged to a seven point buffer over their closest rivals, their last
loss at home to Midland is well and truly behind them they brushed the Rocky
boys aside last week and will be looking for a another scalp in the form
of Melville.
Melville are still in the danger zone and can’t relax at this
stage of the season, things can still go horribly wrong with the Red side
travelling very well they need to maintain the one Blue division,
Mossies
will be out to sting Melville and make the run home a formality
the result
will be Mosman Park 7 / 1.
