Preview One Blue South Semi Finals:
Mosman Park earned promotion to One White and the right to host the first day of the finals with an aggregate win over Hilton Park last Saturday, the Spearwood boys couldn’t overcome a determined Rockingham on their home patch, whilst Manning lost to the cellar dwellers and the Hilton Park side claimed two points from their Mossie game to guarantee themselves some finals action.
The finals are totally meaningless and the sooner this format is abolished the better, the games mean very little to all the sides participating, all the clubs seek promotion to the next division not a piece of plastic that Bowls WA provide for your weekends effort.
Mosman Park v Spearwood:
First Round: Mosman Park 81/6 def
Spearwood 77/2
Second Round: Spearwood 82/7 def Mosman Park 69/1
The top two sides will play out a game with a second chance on offer to the looser, the last contest between them at Mosman Park resulted in an 82 to 69 victory to Spearwood; this game may not have the same level of desperation as the qualifying game.

Mossies claimed 6 vital points against Hilton in last week’s game to gain
promotion into One White while Spearwood managed 2 points in an away game
to Rockingham the home side will be buoyed by their promotion surprisingly
John Rainoldi has lost his last two games, however to Mossies credit they
have overcome that setback to finish on top of the table.
For the Mosman
Park side the John Rainoldi rink has underpinned the side for most of the
year, while Lester Mortimer has provide very good support as well.
Boris Yakas Spearwood (pctured) sensational year again for his club.
Spearwood
in this game will be looking to repeat the good win over Mossies 3 weeks
ago, Boris Yakas has led Spearwood all year with strong wins his performance
is one of the best in Division One.
Marin Sokol has been a regular contributor
all year with stronger results in the second half season, this contest will
be another close affair with the result going the way of the visitors
Spearwood
6/2.
Manning v Hilton Park:
First Round: Hilton Park 93/7 d Manning Eagles 72/1
Second Round: Manning Eagles 91/7½ d Hilton Park 65/½
Manning finished third on the table due very much to their extremely good performance in the second half of the season, while the Hilton Park side scrapped into the final four when prior to the enforced 4 week break (due to state side representation) they looked in a good position to steamroll the division and claim promotion.
For Manning none have played better than James Jaworski his performance with
Peter Ker as his reliable third has been the cornerstone for the Eagles all year.

Milan Jokic has also provided the Eagles with tremendous support, they will be
more than matched by the Hilton Park side of David Opie; David has been a fabulous
player for the Park for many years his state duties has been the result of hard
work and is richly deserved.
Travis Simpson has also supported the Park through
the tough years his performance all year can not be questioned. In the last
encounter the Eagles won convincingly 91 to 65 at the Parks home ground, this
time around it’s hard to make a case for the Hilton Park side to upset the Eagles,
the Manning boys will be smarting following last weeks loss to Carlisle
the result
will be Manning Eagles 6/2.
