its first Patron
At the half yearly general meeting held on the 2 May 2005.
Honorary membership,
and the appointment to the position of patron was awarded to Mr. Eryk Matusik,
of Matusik Jewellers.......More
Information......
Eryk was introduced to
the club in the early 1980’s by the then Secretary, later
president and life member Mr. Harry West.
Since then, every year he has most generously donated first prizes for the
ladies Matusik fours classic, and the Bedford Bowl Pro-am. In recognition of
the long standing sponsorship the management committee agreed to the aforementioned
honours conferred on Eryk.
Mr. Ron Post, life member, gave a very well presented speech about Ery’ks contribution
to the Club, and presented him with the life member badge, and the position of
Patron. Eryk was very pleased with the appointments, and responded by saying
that he enjoyed his involvement with the club, and looked forward to continuing
his
support in the future.
