Murray's Review on One Blue North.
Round Three
November 21, 2005---ROUND THREE REVEIW.
Sorrento Swans V Doubleview: Sorrento squandered
a twenty shot lead to lose to by four. Yours truly let a 15/9 lead slip into
a 21/16
loss whilst
Stan Curtis fought back against Brian Collins from 9/23 down to lose 18/24.
The "View" were delighted, the "Swans" wished they could
have flown south to avoid the other members.
John Nicholls (pictured) doing a great job for Doubleview,
remains undefeated so far.
Bowls is a great game for producing
these types of turnarounds and as Doubleview showed if you stick at it anything
can happen.
Dalkeith/Nedlands V Cambridge: Dalkeith too strong
for with Dinko Golem setting the win up with a big score line for the second
week in a row.
Bedford V Osborne Park:
What
a sensational result for Bedford. Two rinks, Cliff Graybrook and Dave Scott
picking up a 7 and a 5 on the last end of their games, to bring victory
to the brink. Dave Crook (a third game skipper) had to hang in and hold on,
which he and his team mates did against Dante Mariani to lose by one shot,
14/15.
Dave Scott (pictured) all smiles after playing a match winning
bowl to help get Bedford over the line.
Keith Guelfi had a huge game in a good standard contest against Dave Scott.
It was great tussle with Ossy Park'sBen Poggie, Con Tsokas, against the Bulls
middlemen Tony Garrett and Rolls Royce Hamilton, all contributing to
a great game.
Keith Guelfi,
four down on the last end, played a brilliant bowl to get the shot and Dave
Scott responded with a touch of class himself to take Keith's bowl out and
make five
to win
21/20.
Sportsmans V Morrison Park In the upset of the season
thus far my sentimental favourites Sportsmen's demolished the previously undefeated
Morrison Park.
This was achieved
by Tony
Porter and
his rink giving Phil Simonetti a touch up. Mick Dingley and his rink continued
their good form with a win. Well done guys.
Bassendean V Nollamara: Bassendean
were far too strong for a disappointing Nollamara whom are yet to score a solitary
point
in three
games.
