ONE WHITE REVIEW

DALKEITH & VICTORIA PARK IN RACE FOR TOP SPOT

After the completion of this weekends round of fixtures it has become clear that Dalkeith/Nedlands and Victoria Park will finish in the top two. At present Dalkeith has a six point lead but Victoria Park still have a game in hand (against Scarborough).
Warwick look now almost certain to be demoted following the loss to Safety Bay, Either Scarborough or Yokine will join them.
Yokine has a two shot advantage but Scarborough have played one less game.

Safety Bay 93 (7) def Warwick 56 (1)

SAFE AT THE BAY

Following their resounding victory over Warwick we can now confidently predict that Safety Bay are clear from relegation threat. Ray Beard set up the victory with a crushing 31-10 win over Alan Hogarth.
The Hogarth led rink is an enigma. They are Warwick best performed winning rink with a 6-9 record but have a -92 shot record.

Short of a minor miracle I think Warwick can plan for One Blue North or perhaps South for next year.

Kardinya 87 (6) def Yokine 72 (2)

ITS JUST NOT APPLES AS (GRANNY) SMITH CUTS YATES APART.

John (Granny) Smith set up a very important win for Kardinya with a resounding 38-17 over Michael Yates. Terry Ball was also a good contributor with a win over the in-form Rod Heaton.
Kardinya are real chances to make the four whilst Yokine must win next weekend against Scarborough to have a chance to avoid demotion.

Dalkeith/Nedlands 98 (7) def Scarborough 66 (1)

SKORIC SCALPS KUZIELA

Tony Skoric and his rink were at their brilliant best with a 34-9 mauling of the Ron Kuziela led rink. Whilst Dalkeith may still have won it was this score line that made the margin between the two sides so convincing.

Dinko Golem with the addition of former Tasmanian Tim Williams also returned to the winners list with a good win over Geoff White.

Mark Krajancic continued on his winning way whilst Steve Stokes grabbed a very valuable point for the “Seagulls”.

Thornlie 91 (5) def Gosnells 87 (3)

MACCA PLAYS A CRACKER

Thornlie’s big Jim McKenzie kept his sides chances of finishing in the four alive with a resounding 34-18 win over new skipper Maurice Crabb.
A defeat for Thornlie would have been disastrous given Kardinya’s marvellous form of late.
Until yesterday Jim’s rink only had a modest record but they owe him and his team a debt of gratitude on yesterday’s effort.

Victoria Park 75 (7) def South Perth 72 (1)

REDS GRAB VALUABLE POINTS

In a game that would decide a top two finish Victoria Park got home by only 3 shots but picked a valuable 7 points in the process.

Steve Withers continues his terrific run of form and was ably supported by the ever reliable Jeff Mitchell and Victoria Park star Graeme Wishart.

South Perth were far from disgraced but may have to look at winning the premiership via the long route.
