ONE WHITE REVIEW
Well it is all decided with the exception of who will follow Victoria Park into the Premier Division. The chances are South Perth (whom have grabbed that golden second chance) Dalkeith/Nedlands and Kardinya.
Warwick & Scarborough have been relegated and will be replaced by Bassendean and Mosman Park.
A review of each club
Victoria Park A +
You cannot do more than finish on top and with quality players in Mitchell Jeff & Thomas, Steve Withers and Graeme Wishart I think they will get the quinella and also win the flag.
South Perth A +
I take my hat of to the “Millers”. With the loss of good players in Andy Tucker and John Morgan many pundits thought they may struggle. Well they have proved all critics wrong and are a strong chance to be promoted.
Dalkeith/Nedlands A
A good side but with too much over reliance on two rinks with a particular emphasis on Mark Krajancic. I think they will do well in the finals but fear that if promoted they may be found short of quality players.
If my spies are accurate Mark will be joining brother Tony at the newly promoted
Stirling Club next season. The other rumour is that Bedford’s
Andrew Jones is also leaving Bedford for Cambridge.
Kardinya A
A great effort from a club that I thought had a handful of good players and the rest were honest toilers.
They have proven that by working together you can achieve anything and full credit to them. They will be the side I am supporting in the finals.
Thornlie B-
With the talent at this clubs disposal this was a year of wasted opportunity. Enough said.
Safety Bay B
A pretty good effort but they must look for an injection of talented youth into their line-up if they are going to move forward or survive in the next few years at this level.
Gosnells B
Played very much in patches but proved worthy of holding the division when
they were successful in the “must win” games.
Yokine D-
A
very experienced and talented team that performed well below expectations, particularly the expectations of this writer.
Scarborough F
Demoted- What else can be said?
Warwick F
Demoted – Are in the same position as Safety Bay in relation to recruiting younger personnel to their ranks.

COMMENT
(One Blue- North and South)
Further to my comment about the absurdity of the current One Blue (North & South).
Whilst it is certain two North clubs from One White will be relegated to One Blue next season I noticed something that may rescue Bowls WA from alienating another club.
I see that Osborne Park head the table in second division Gold. If they are successful then that would mean the club would have two teams in the same division. With Byford and Safety Bay looking likely to win promotion to One Blue South I say happy traveling to one of those Osborne Park teams.
On that note if Midland/Morrison survive relegation they should also be brought back into the One Blue North where they belong and give another club the burden of having to travel to another region every second week.
To keep Midland/Morrison in the South for two consecutive years is unfair on that club and they should not be the annual victim of a very flawed initiative.
