BEDFORD (111) 8 beat OSBORNE PARK (57) 0
Bruce Oatley 36/15----- Arthur Smith 33/13-----
Allan Foster 19/17----- Shane Nunan 23/12 Congratulations to all players on
a fine and determined display,

Bedford dominate the finals!
The first semi-final between Osborne Park and Warwick is a tight affair,
with the final score 79/77 going Osborne Parks way 6/2.
The second semi-final between Bedford and Morley, produced one close encounter
between Shane Nunan and Chris Normoyle. Their recent last encounter against
each other at Morley went down to the last end with Shane coming out the winner,
this time Chris inflicted a one shot lose and Shane's second lose in 4 gold
this season.
This is the day after Shane Nunan had been awarded the Bedford
skipper of the season. On the other 3 rinks Mr Come late "frosty" Foster had a 15 shot win, Bruce Oatley an 8 shot and "king" Arthur Smith a hard fought 4 shot win. Bedford 97/71,( 7/1).
In the preliminary final Morley cruised through the first 18 ends, only to falter dropping some 10 shots in the last 3 ends to lose 76/75 and exit the race 6/2, Osborne Park who had already made other plans for Sunday could only shake their heads and return to play Bedford on Sunday!
The later starting time for the grand final, suited "frosty" Foster, who managed to get to the game without an early wake up call, and showing the form that got him into the club Singles semi-final, played many fine conversion shots, and great draw bowls to inspire his 15 team mates.
Bruce Oatley's rink whom he had read the riot act to after their tardy start to Saturday's game, came out red hot, with all players contributing they had a convincing win.
Bert "don't be short" Heuvel led brilliantly to set up Shane Nunan's rink win.
Arthur Smith's rink which included Mat Tutly who after having been dropped by
the selectors early in the week, was a late inclusion when Denis Burden was declared
medically unfit later in the week.
An extra late inclusion also in this team
was Max Vinvcombe, when the early Saturday start caught a couple of players out,
with everything to play for these guys had a very good win.
Bedford 111 beat Osborne Park 57 8/0
Bruce Oatley 36/15
Arthur Smith 33/13
Allan Foster 19/17
Shane Nunan 23/12
Congratulations to all players on a fine and determined display, throughout
the finals.
