Community Bowls 2005
Community bowls is on again, it has been a great success at Bedford Bowling Club for the past three years, and it starts again on the 9th and 10th of November 2005. Community bowls, fun and prizes, its a terrifict night, Community Bowls night at Bedford Bowling Club. The State Government and the city of Bayswater have provided funds to install a new synthetic bowling green which is now operational. Community bowls is a good way to spend a balmy summer evening
and meet new people. It is run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings starting
at 7pm and finishing at 8.45pm. Teams are made up of players ranging in age
from 12 to over 60's. This event is specifically designed for those of us
who have little or no experience playing lawn bowls.
A free sausage sizzle
night and bowling equipment are provided. The club has good facilities and
a fully licensed bar. Community bowls goes
for a six-week period, its a great night for families or workmates. Each
team has four players (teams can be mixed or whatever) and can be changed
each week to suit player availability.
The cost is only $20 per team a team
(of four people) and $4 per person each evening. We will arrange for individuals
to form a team.

Bedford Bowling Club has an excellent " fully equipped
function area-available for hire" with a fully licensed bar and an extremely
well equipped kitchen. It is an inexpensive venue for functions and can support
up to three hundred people. Members can hire the hall at special rates. The
hall is great for birthdays, Christmas and special occasion celebrations.
The club has outdoor lighting and BBQ facilities to provide club members
and the community with a safe environment to enjoy Perth's balmy summer evenings.
The
club also runs various events such as quiz nights, meals and other programs
to service the needs of the community.We have over
300 members and our fees are extremely competitive with other clubs. New
members are welcomed with a warm friendly smile and are encouraged to participate
in all activities.
