“Another big finish to Session 2 Community Bowls”

Over 200 participants per week contested the six week series and this was greatly assisted by beautiful late summer balmy evenings.

My thanks goes to all those who committed to attending and to the team of helpers (they all know who they are) that faithfully give of their time to ensure the success of the program. Without this assistance the onus of coordinating would be most formidable.

Tuesday Winners were “Spuds” with 5 wins 1 draw – 11 points, 28 shots up, runners up were “CBM’s”- 5 wins,10 points and 51 shots up.

Wednesday Winners were “White Ducks” 6 wins 12 points , 64 shots up,

Runners Up were the “Tails” in their first attempt with 5 wins 10 points, 35 shots up.

StateWest Credit Society, the program sponsors, were represented by Centro Morley Manager, Mr Paul Jennings. Paul presented prizes to winners and runners up on Tuesday.

I substituted for him on Wednesday and conducted prize distribution. The Club’s thanks goes to StateWest Credit Society, Grand Prom Growers Mart, Bedford, Chicken treat and Amcal Chemists, Inglewood for their generous support.

The 2006/07 first session will commence on Tuesday, 7 November and Wednesday, 8 November, 2006. Contact will be made in early October for team confirmation and expressions of interest. In the meantime, enjoy life and stay safe. David Twohig Community Bowls Coordinator 17 March 2006.
