REVIEW ROUND 12---- ONE BLUE NORTH

Review 1 Blue North Round TWELVE

Morley 84 (6) d Cambridge 74 (2)

After a lean run, Morley came good with a vengeance led by skippers Holland (+15 shots) and Robinson (+7 shots) giving them at least temporary relief from demotion territory.
For Cambridge Jim Gupanis had a great win against form skipper Alan Haley, however the Knights now sit in 9th place.

Wanneroo 85 (8) d Sorrento 73 (0)

Blackie, did you offer any incentive to teams playing Sorrento? With games to play against the current three bottom placed teams and with a handy break, the Roos look safe to remain in 1 Blue North.

Sorrento must be bitterly disappointed after their heroics against Bassendean last round. They now find themselves chasing and hoping Bassendean will be rolled. It may be a forlorn hope. Echo Widermanski defeated Neil Adams and both have had great seasons.

Doubleview 82 (6) d Bedford 80 (2)

The View’s first away win for the season albeit by 2 shots with Stan Curtis once again having their best result.

Peter Hunter, 11 shots to spare over Eddie Johnson was a good win. Neither team is going anywhere.

Osborne park 95 (6) d North Beach 73 (2)

A 21 shot margin to Rance Dewson set up the win for Ossie Park. Michael Murray kept his undefeated run and will need to continue if North Beach is to avoid relegation. Osborne Park will play in the finals and stay in 1 Blue North.

Bassendean 89 (7) d Innaloo 69 (1)

Some changes made by Bassendean to even the rink strengths saw Marcel Heurer lose by 1 shot to Bill Cox whilst Justin Opie leading 12/3 opposed to Andrew Tennant who has been very good in his role of skipper, won by just 3 shots.

Bassendean will be breathing a sigh of relief after Sorrento’s loss and they have a handy 5 point margin. However, they wouldn’t want to take any win for granted: just ask Sorrento.
