REVIEW ONE BLUE NORTH ROUND FIFTEEN

North Beach 80 (6˝) d Wanneroo 77 (2)

Ninth place at the commencement of this round and candidates for demotion, North Beach may now play in the finals. A great turn around and Michael Murray pipped Echo Windermanski by 2 shots.
Wanneroo’s winning run of 5 games was a good effort.

Bassendean 87 (6) d Morley 77 (2)

Marcel Heurer’s rink was the lifesaver for his club, courtesy of his 17 shot win. With Sorrento failing, Bassendean’s lead over them is significant and 1 White beckons.
I noticed the rink of John Lynch who had a huge victory against Bedford and played an absolute brilliant game were beaten this week 15/24 by Jimmy Corrin. Just shows how quickly form can be a week to week thing.

Doubleview 91 (6) d Cambridge 74 (2)

Gary Nelson replaced John Nicholls as skipper and recorded a first up victory, whilst Bomber Haring’s rink showed good form for consecutive weeks. John Dawson had a 12 shot margin against Doubleview’s best rink of Stan Curtis, however 2nd Division for Cambridge has nearly become a reality.

Osborne Park 97 (6˝) d Sorrento 70 (1˝)

Cliff Guelfi’s rink was stung by Innaloo’s Terry Losinjanin last week, however he exorcized all his demons at the expense of Sorrento with a 29 shot victory – just about burying Sorrento’s prospects of promotion.

Innaloo 84 (5) d Bedford 79 (3)
The top rinks of Andrew Tennant and Peter Hunter clashed, with Andrew carrying the aggregate, courtesy of a 20 shot winning margin.
Bedford has performed poorly so far this round, with only 1 victory.
