REVIEW ROUND 16---- ONE BLUE NORTH

REVIEW ONE BLUE NORTH ROUND FIFTEEN

Bassendean will be promoted and Innaloo with Bedford or Cambridge will be demoted. Warwick and either Scarborough or Yokine are being demoted from 1 White, probably to 1 Blue and 2nd Division promotions into this colour will be Stirling and most likely Osborne Park, who are 5½ points ahead of Yokine in 2 Gold with an easier draw.

Tim Murray has been predicting difficulties with 1 Blue North and the following teams, for lack of a better description, are currently eligible next season. Sorrento, Osborne Park (2 teams), Doubleview, Wanneroo, North Beach, Morley, (Bedford or Cambridge), Scarborough, Warwick and Stirling, not forgetting the well travelled Midland Morrison, who may survive in 1 Blue South.

Midland and one of the Osborne Park teams may be put in Blue South, however this means both 1 White demoted teams will be in Blue North. The closest South teams to North of this season, Mosman Park and Carlisle, will most likely be replaced by Byford and Safety Bay due to promotions/demotions for 07/08, ensuring even more travelling for a couple of northern teams.

Sincerely hope all the Byford bowlers are OK after their mishap.

Morley 100 (8pts) d Innaloo 61 (0)

Morley will be breathing a little easier even though mathematically Bedford and Cambridge could both overtake them. Morley meet Osborne Park away and in the final game, Bedford at home.

Bassendean 88 (8) d Wanneroo 68 (0)
At last an 8 pointer and playing away at that, will be most satisfying to the Bassendean team. Wanneroo have performed well after being promoted this season.

Osborne Park 97 (7) d Bedford 83 (1)
The loss against Innaloo two rounds ago certainly stung Osborne Park into action and they have now given Bedford cause for concern.
The Bulls meet Sorrento at home and Morley away in the final two rounds and will need to win at least one of these games to avoid demotion.

Cambridge 100 (7½) d North Beach 68 (½)

After six straight losses, Cambridge came good with a vengeance, led by Golden Jim Gupanis scoring a decisive win opposed to form skipper Michael Murray.

Jim Gupanis Cambridge (pictured) and his rink may have saved Cambridge from relegation with his huge win against Nth Beach

Cambridge meet Bassendean away next week and have little hope, however their final game opposed to Innaloo at home could see them edge in front of Bedford who will be playing Morley away, dependant on the result of the Bedford v Sorrento game next week.

Sorrento 89 (6) d Doubleview 80 (2)
Sorrento scored 6 points in both games and this indicated the difference between these teams with Sorrento having more even strength with their skippers throughout the season.

Demotion Possibilities
7th Morley (57pts) v Osborne Park (70) away v Bedford (51½) home

8th Bedford (51½) v Sorrento (90½) home v Morley (57) away

9th Cambridge (50) v Bassendean (100) away v Innaloo (34½) Home
