Review One Blue North Round 5
Morley 79 (7) d North Beach 64 (1)
After two heavy defeats playing away Morley, led by their skipper Lindsay with
a 25 shot margin, tasted an away victory, having a sound win opposed to North
Beach. With only John Coles recording a win, the Beach were disappointing.
Morley are now back in contention for a shot at the leaders, whilst the home
loss for North Beach will be costly.
Doubleview 81 (6) d Wanneroo 76 (2)
Doubleview recorded their third win at home but
again they were less than convincing as the Roo’s won points away for
the first time this season.
Stan Curtis, supported by his rink of Gary Nelson, Brad Pearce and Wayne Markham
with a 15 shot win carried the day for the View, whilst Ken Screech had another
handy win.
Derick Bowen’s four had a comfortable 14 shot win for Wanneroo, making
the aggregate scores close
Bassendean 102 (7) d Bedford 68 (1)
The fifth straight and most comfortable win for
Bassendean. Justin Opie with a 22 shot winning margin, had a new third in the
form of Craig Greenhalgh who began his bowling career at Yokine and played
in their 1 Red team before moving to Sportsmen’s.

Marcel Heurer continued
his winning season notched up his 5th win in succession.
Bedford had no answer to the 17 seconds santa ana that Bassendean presented
to them on Saturday.
Brian Tuppers rink was the only rink to come to terms
with the slickness of the green, leading all day and managed to fall over the
line by 1 shot a job well done. Bassendean
are travelling well and they are in with a big chance to win the promotion
Colin Hotker (pictured) is all smiles after the big win against Bedford on
Saturday
Osborne Park 79 (7) d Innaloo 72 (1)
Seven points to the Park but not a very convincing margin with Keith Guelfi’s
15 shot win proving the difference.
Innaloo put up a good fight and their leading skipper, Greg Young returned
to form scoring an 11 shot margin with a new third in Keith Hough. His previous
third, Andrew Tennant, now skippering lost by only 2 shots to Keith Edwards.
Sorrento 99 (7) d Cambridge 77 (1)
With easily the best percentage in this division, Sorrento continue to be at
the heels of Bassendean on the premiership ladder.
Alan Anderson had his turn in having a large winning margin by 18 shots and
showed that Sorrento have an even spread of rink strengths.
John Dawson managed the only point for Cambridge and they are having a struggle
to consolidate in this division.
