All went not as expected in round Six
A very important round in the scheme of things
The Cockburn of old turned up to greet the top of the table Bedford
Bulls. It was Gday Gdbye and see you later as far as Cockburn were concerned.
Bedford
Bulls cave in under Cockburn pressure.
Cambridge are on top of the premiership table after their fine win. last year
they
could win on two rinks consistently and not win the game, things ain't what they
used
to be anymore .
Where
to
now
for
Osborne
Park??
Boy
OH
boy!!!!
So what can we make of Leeming or Victoria Park. Three shots the difference leeming's
way. Well Leeming don't care as long as they have the big end of the points.
Rooster's rink Lose their first game of the season.
Melville Magic are doing it well and hold third position after winning against
the poorly performed Osborne Park.
the PowerHouse win and they should-- Yokine do their best
BULL QUOTE Neil Minchin said, "Sherro our rink
did quite well, to date we have not been beaten, we had the shots there, but
Daneil
Brown
played
such
a
good
game
that
I
rate it the best I have seen in my time as a bowler which is over 20 years,
Bedford
will
be
back,
bigger
and better next week.".

An Important win for Cockburn. This is the big one they had to win and what
do we see, The old firm, Steve Srhoy bobbing up and winning by his biggest
margin for the season and Daniel Brown playing some razzle dazzle in an oustanding
skippers game.
The Jones Boy and his rink is the only undefeated rink in One Red
=========================================================
R. Hughes {skip}, S. Cerff, D. Carpenter,
M. Musulin -------------- -14
The Jones Boy { skip}, B. Richardson. Paul Hunter, J.
Carlsen-----22
Wow What a win!! A clash between the Russell Hughes
and The Jones Boy!!!
Well it would be standing room only, could the Merridan Mafia(apologies Paul
Hunter) take out the top flight rink from Cockburn?? I would think most would
say no!!!!! However there are some who would say yes. Me one of them!! After
today, The Jones Boy and his terrific rink who worked their butts off
to win
the
point
for Bedford are now the undisputed best rink in W.A at the moment
The Jones Boy led 8/1 after 5 ends 13/5 after 10 ends 17/6 on 14 ends 22/14
at days end.
A significant win for the Jones Boy Rink and they are the only unbeaten
side in One Red
John Carlsen (pictured) leader, best player for
the Bulls.

D. Brown {skip} M. Zusman,J. Ravlich,P. Novak. ...................31
P. Harris {skip} N. Minchin, M.Illich ,F. Andrich...................9
Peter harris and his rink suffered their first loss this season, and what
a loss. On the 8th end the score was 8/9 Daniel Brown's way. from there
Pieter Harris and his rink won only one end, the 13th to be 9/20. Every
team
has a day like this I guess and well done to Daniel Brown for he and his
rinks outstanding game.
Dan Brown (pictured)
Best for Cockburn was skipper --- Daniel Brown
===========================================================
S. Srhoy {skip},G. Vaughan, I.Jackovich . L Vassailio.---------29
S.Bainbridge {skip}, M. Lemos, S. Shaw, M. Trewhella.---------19
A very hard fought contest, after 8 ends it was
9/9 when Steve Srhoy got away to lead 15/10 on the 12th end. from here Stu
Bainbridge and his boys got busy to lead 19/18 on the 18th end. Then disaster
struck for the Bulls, Steve Srhoy picking up 1,4,3,4 to win 29/19.
========================================================
Lance Strahan {skip},Barry Gartrell ,John Trewhella,
K. Collins---18
J. Galipo (skip), N. Pascoe, A. Petchell, J. Beswick.
------------------18
Great game scorewise with neither side able to win. The biggest margin in
the game was Lance Strahan 11/4 up on the 11th end then to see Joe Galipo
and his rink fight back to lead 18/16 on the 19th end. The game ending in
a draw. Joe Galipo has taken to the role of skipper in his stride, hasn't
won or lost so far with two draws, and doing a
fine
job
for Cockburn.
Best for Bedford was third Barry Gartrell
Cambridge (7) DEF OsbornePark
(1)...........85/
77.....
Cambridge take out the points and head the premieship ladder with a good and
expected win against a struggling Osborne Park. The highight of the game was
the
big win by Bill Galloway and his rink had against the best performed rink
at Cambridge of John Rainoldi 30/14 however it wasn't enough because Cambridge
won on the other three rinks
Ron Stockton led the way with a handy 25/16 win over Wings Evans while the
newly crowned master singles winner Trystan Smallacombe had a great win against
the youngest rink in the competition of Daniel Trewella, 23/13.
Brian Katunarich wins again and is proving to be a great recruit.
Grant Nicol (pictured) played a big game for Osborne Park
today
=============================================================
Melville(7) DEF Wanneroo (1)...............81/63.....
Melville are doing it well with another win and this will keep them in third
place. The big margin was a surprise. The win now stamps the Magic as a genuine
contender while The Wanneroo Express have come back to reality after a great
start, after this loss they will have to rethink their strategy.
Melville won on three rinks. The rink that set up the win was that Jon Sharp,S.
Hughes, R. Barnes, J. Birch. who got hold of Stein Davies 21/12 . Jon would
be happy with the way things are going for Melville and has contributed much
to their cause.
Geoff Ellis, the only winner for Wanneroo continues to do well to be their
only winner in the game.
==================================================
Leeming
(7) beat Victoria Park(1)..................80/77...
Leeming win again, and Victoria Park show they are back on track with another
good performance that hasn't got them the major end of the points.
Justin Opie showed that last weeks form was all wrong to lose 20/23 to the
top Leeming rink of Rhett Butler, While Anthony Provost, Geoff Gould, Ryder,
McKenna bring to an end the winning run of Rooster Wishart with a game winning
score 25/15.
Steve Withers won his second game in succession to give Bruce Edwards his
4th loss for the season.24/13.
Wayne Heldt won his second game for the season beating Mark Simpson 19/18
==================================================
Doubleview (7) Yokine(1)
....................80/
71....
As expected the PowerHouse win this game but not without a spirited fight
from from the Doggies. Big winners in this game were Robbie Ball and Pat
Buller who won by 6 shots each to help get their side over the line.
John Currie, the only rink winner for Yokine won 21/17 over rookie skipper
John Slavich.
