"To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing."
- Elbert Hubbard

Cockburn win by only one shot, well !! that is enough. The real PowerHouse turn up to play and give a grand contest at Cockburn.
Osborne Park finally rewarded with a magnificent win against Leeming at Leeming. Considering what was at stake for both clubs, one for a final four spot in the offing and the other, relegation staring them in the face.
Wanneroo, who have been so busy over these past months and giving plenty in their endeavor to make the final four, are rewarded with a handsome win today against the best side Bedford could put on the green today.
Cambridge win as all would have expected today to consolidate their position as the best team in the competition. Melville have nothing to play for but clearly show that there is plenty of work to be done in the off season
Yokine rise to the ocassion and win their first game at home this season in their most important game this year by beating Vic Park for the first time in three years.
Victoria Park will be relegated for the first time in around 30/40/50 years and that is almost the death knell for that club.

Wanneroo (7 ) beatBedford (1) ..........103/ 73..
The Wanneroo Express have a runaway win and pay the Bulls back for the the first round thrashing the received.
This win is a teriffic ocassion for the Wanneroo boys and now gives them a realistic chance for the finals. After bursting out of the blocks winning their first four games of the season, then losing their next three they have had a season of almost every game being their most important game, on top of that,to make things harder, they have had to overcome losing their home green advantage when BowlsWA closed the greens in December.
Pieter Harris was the man for Bedford, The Jones Boy lost only his 4th game for the year. Barry Gartrell took over the reigns from Lance Strahan and has done no better in his first game back as skipper. Stu Bainbridge lost also. All of this when most tipsters had Bedford pencilled in to win has shown Bedford to be November premiers and a finals birth is now up for grabs.

The Jones Boy { skip}, Bill Richardson , Paul Hunter, P. Hunter -------19
This was a strange game in as much that Reg Humphryson and his band of merry men led 10/0 after 7 ends. The Jones Boy and his band of men fought back the be 14/13 on the 15th end. Some come back considering the position. Things were still tight with Reg leading 20/19 on the 19th then blew the game away with a 4,2 to win 26/19. A great win to the newly appointed Skip Reg and the rink, while the Jones Boy loses his fourth game for the year.
Reg Humphryson won 13 ends to 8

Clive Adams (skip), Rus Bates, Gary Cox, Phil Potts.---------25
P. Harris {skip} L. Strahan, M.Illich, K. Manton....................27
Pieter Harris down 1/8 after the 4th end and still in trouble 6/12 on the 7th end. It was from here that he and his boys put their foot on the pedal to be 17/17 on the 13th end and now a chance to push onward for victory. The 20th end saw the scores level at 25/25. Pieter Harris's rink went to win 27/25 picking up a two on the last end in a great game of bowls where the two skippers both has great performances.

Best for Bedford Pieter Harris
Best for Wanneroo The Wanneroo Wizard Clive Adams
Pieter Harris won 11 ends to 10

A hard close tussle for both sides with nothing in it for the first 13 ends and Geoff Ellis leading 12/9. It was from here that The Roo Boys really stepped up the pace and shot right away to lead 21/9 and game over as they cruised to a comfortable win, 22/14
best for Wanneroo was third
Ron Bates
Geoff Ellis won 11 ends to 10

Stein Davies (skip), N. Stevens, M. Hulbert, D. Griffin................30
Barry Gartrell {skip}, N.Minchin. M. Lemos, P. Hunter

Well it was a hard day at the office for the newly appointed Skipper Barry Gartrell and they were in bother from the outset, the closest the score ever in the game was 7/4 for Stein Davies. From there it was all Wanneroo as they charged away to record a huge win 30/13
Stein Davies won 13 ends to 8.

Yokine have won this game 6/2, unfortunatly it will not save them from relegation while Victoria Park have sealed their fate and will move into the OneWhite Division. As usual the Doggies top rink came up with the goods again and recieved good support from Tony Kay to pave the way to victory.

Osborne Park (7) beatLeeming (1)..................82/ 75.
Peter MaynardThis is the win that O.P had to have and this the loss that Leeming did not need to have. Just imagine the scene, here we have one side desperately needing to win to enhance their opportunity of securing a place in the final four and and one needing victory to avoid relegation. Well the scores tell us much and say Osborne Park wanted victory far more than Leeming.

Peter Maynard Osborne Park ( pictured) has made a successful return to the Ossy Park top side.

Wings Evans and his boys answer the call against a red hot rink, that of Danny Comerie with a timely win 23/17. Considering the previous form of the D. Comerie rink it ws a significant victory .

Cambridge (7 ) Melville (1) ...................91/ 68....
This was an easy game to forcast the winner as Cambridge are heading into the finals and Melville are marking time as the season comes to a close for them.
The standout rink and best performed rink at Cambridge led the way to victory with a huge win over rookie skip Kiran Cousens who had replaced Cameron Girvan. The change didn't help at all,
John Rainoldi has come up with the goods against Jon Sharp and now has three straight wins.
