February 15, 2005: This page is
about the rumours that we hear --so please take it as
just that
--rumours--gossip.
I cant say they are right or wrong..
February 22, 2005:
Rumour has it that Morrison Park will
be either relocated to Brown reserve or amalgamate with Midland Bowling and
recreation
club by the start of next season.
this
is a rumour that is floating around the traps.
Sunday Times Change
February 15, 2005:
Rumour floating around that Neville Faulkner,
the Sunday times writer for around 22 years, is to quit at the end of the
current season and will be replaced by Tony Walsh from the Cambridge Bowling
club.
If that is the case we would wish Neville all the best and a job well done.
And we wish Tony all the best in his new role.
please bear in mind that this is only a rumour and I cannot confirm that
it is true.
October 15, 2004: Jeff Pryce to play
for the Vic Park reds this season.
October 15, 2004: Talking with John
Morgan at the Bowl yesterday, he confirmed that he will not play with Bedford
this season. He gave it serious consideration and would have loved to come over,
however it can't occur this season.
October 4, 2004: The latest rumour
to come my way is John Morgan who performed so well in the Mt. Lawley consistency
singles, may be on the way to Bedford.
September 19, 2004 Russell Hughes
informed the Bedford club he wouldn't be playing for them last Saturday. Throws
all speculation out the window and is to play with Cockburn this coming season.
Maurice Crabb the state junior coach leaving Gosnells to play at Victoria Park.
September 17, 2004: Dante Mariani
back home----signs with Osborne Park. After playing at Bedford, Wanneroo, Bedford
and Doubleveiw, Dante has returned to his original club. Wow, it looks like i've
just lost London.
September 13, 2004: Wayne Heldt off
to Leeeming, according to the entry sheet at the Mt Lawley Consistency Singles,
he is now to play at this club instead of Yokine.
September 9, 2004: One that's floating
around the traps is The North Beach powerhouse driver Mike Yates might be off
to Gosnells. Hmm..... that might help his career along the way with Bill Galloway,
a former international for Scotland, and also a state selector playing at this
club. Will keep our eye open for this one.
September 7, 2004: Ron Kuziela off
to The Reds --- Ron will be playing for Victoria Park this coming season. Ron
has decided accept the challenge of playing in One Red after two years at Scarborough,
and what could be better than playing with last years runner/up.
Ron feels that this is an opportunity to play in a winning premiership team, it
has been one of his ambitions for sometime, also delighted to be asked to play
with them. He will certainly add something to this already very strong club.
Word around at the moment is that Russell the muscle is now
staying at The Park---how many more twists will this rumour take before the season
starts?
August 28, 2004: Ivan (superglue)
Jackovich will not be playing at Yokine this season, heading south to a club this
side of Mandurah.
Where will Barry Rainer from Sportsmans land up? We think Yokine is looking likely
for the affable Barry.
August 25, 2004: Dante Mariani will
not be coming to Bedford for the coming season. He is weighing up offers from
a couple of other clubs. He has been seen at Yokine where his wife Irene plays
and i would bet London to a brick on that we will see him land there.
August 22, 2004: Rumours of late
have been as scarce as a One Red pennant flag for Melville, we have been told
from a good source that Tony Krajancic is not going to Yokine and that Russell
Hughes is definetly bound for yokine.
August 3, 2004: The latest rumour
to come my way, Tony Krajancic is heading to Yokine and will line up to play for
them in the coming season, would be a terrific recruit if it turns out to be true.
Also Andrew Thorpe from Gosnells has signed on the dotted line to join Osborne
Park.
July 19, 2004: Heard that Colin O'Brien
the Melville magic Skipper and Peter Johnston will play with Safety Bay this year.
Reason being to cut the travel time down coming from Mandurah. I would think Safety
Bay will be delighted with that decision. Also losing Greg Fairhead andTony Krajancic
will hit Melville pretty hard and they could slip out of the Red division if they
dont recruit strongly.
July 4, 2004: The rumour regarding
Mark Krajancic is well and truly off the mark. He is a happy camper at Yokine,
it would take a truckload of money for him to move, as i said when i first heard
it that it was a curley one. However that is what rumours are all about, some
will right and some wont be.
Heard that Tom Norac just might be off to Osborne park ---just
a whisper.
Lance Strahan from Wanneroo is the latest recruit to head
over to Yokine for next season He is a very good all round player with big hit
ability and doesnt miss very often, he will add plenty of much needed firepower
to what is developing into what might be an awesome unit at Yokine.
June 24, 2004: Is Wayne Heldt from
Gosnells off to Yokine--might be --and heard Bill Galloway also from Gosnells
and a state selector is off to Cockburn----gee thats another curly one. Could
it be so???? --HHmmm!
June 21, 2004: We all thought Tim
Murray the former coach of Sportsmans was heading back to North Beach. We are
reliably informed that he is a certain starter for Cambridge in the new season.
They already have snared some very good players and will be the big improvers
this year.
The latest on Russell Hughes is he is off to Yokine, and why
not, they have the money to spend and are after quality players.
Osborne park player Peter Piercy heading to Bedford and will
be handy. Why are players leaving Osborne Park?---Ron Stockden, Ian Payne, Charlie
Slavich, Phil Potts and Peter Piercy are rumoured to be leaving
June 18, 2004: Another rumour to
surface is Yokine will pay their players $30.00 for each winning game this season.
June 18, 2004: Greg Fairhead from
Melville Magic maybe going to Manning and Milan Jokic also rumoured to be going
there as well. Manning are on the lookout for players in an attempt to get back
into contention as a competitive club
June 14, 2004: A real curly one here,
Mark Krajancic may be off to Melville Magic--and dont they need some good players
after last seasons performance. I say Bring back Bob Mitchell, boy do they need
him back in the fold, he would lift the club by 10% at least.
June 13, 2004: Charlie Slavich, the
young gun from Osborne Park is heading to Doubleveiw , what position will he play??
Ian Payne is also leaving Osborne Park, going to either North
Beach or Wanneroo and Phil Potts another to leave that club and going to Wannearoo
Osborne park have lost some really good players, so we will
keeep an eye out to see who they may get to come over in the way of replacements.
Daniel Trewella is staying put at Osborne Park so i am told.
Putting early speculation to rest, on his possible move to Yokine or Safety Bay.
June
10, 2004: Scott Edmonds ( Doubleveiw) signs with Cambridge Bowling Club
along with Ron Stockden (Osborne Park) and John Dawson (Sorrento) returns to his
old club for the new season.
The above is the logo of Cambridge Bowling Club
May
31, 2004: Bedford Have had negotiations with Victoria Parks Russel Hughes
( he is currently a state skipper ) and at the moment is weighing up his options,
What coup if Bedford can snare him to play for the club next season. He is exactly
the type of player the club needs to ensure a lengthy stay in the premier red
division.
May 31, 2004: A big story going around
the traps is the talented Andrew Jones from Merridan will be coming to Bedford
for the new season, he is well credentialed having recently beaten John Sharp
for the Merridan singles title. Also heard that Brian Gearing from Cambridge is
on the move, and heading to Grand Promenade, he will be a very handy pickup indeed
if it happens to be correct.
May 31, 2004: This was sent to us
via the write to us link--- Anthony Provost is staying at Sportsmens for the coming
season.
May 17, 2004: Graham Stevens not
likely to return to Bedford, rumour was he would return and become the next President.
May 17, 2004: The rumours concerning
Cliff Graybrook going to live in Busselton are unfounded. After speaking with
Cliff he said it is highly unlikely to happen this coming season.
May 17, 2004: Daniel Trewella could
be off to Safety Bay, perhaps a better deal on offer with that club.
May 1, 2004: Dante Mariani definitely
coming to Bedford is the latest going around.
April 27, 2004: Here are a couple
more names that have cropped up, former state player John Sharp going to Yokine
and Daniel Trewella also going there as well -- if it comes off, Yokine will be
a vastly improved unit on last season. How many $ will they get to sign on.
April 27, 2004: Rumour has it that
around 6 players are leaving Sportsmans bowling club after their demotion to One
Gold. There are some pretty handy players in that group and the names include
state player Anthony Provost, and coach Tim Murray.
April 26, 2004: Dante Mariani will
link up with either Osborne park, Yokine or Bedford Bulls. After being dropped
from the top side at the 14 game cut off to play in the one white division at
Doubleveiw last season. He chose not play for the club again. However that is
another story and an interesting one at that.
April 26 2004: Talk is Matt Massari
could be coming back to Bedford. He left bedford 3 seasons ago to play with the
reds (vic Park) and would be a handy player back here.
February 15, 2005: This page is about the rumours that we hear --so please take it as just that --rumours--gossip.
